Loukas Engineering offers and specializes in traffic data collection services. Our counts/studies are performed using Miovision Technologies (www.miovision.com). In addition to performing counts directly for clients, Loukas Engineering is a Miovision partner for Miovision's Traffic Data On-Demand program.
To perform our counts/studies, we deploy Miovision Scout Video Collection Units (VCUs) to video record traffic. The resulting video is processed by Miovision to provide traffic data with 95% accuracy. The data can include vehicular volumes, classifications, and pedestrian volumes. In addition to traffic data, a video can be provided for online viewing and download.

- Vehicle Gap Studies
- License Plate Recognition (Origin-Destination and Travel Time Studies) will be offered in the future.
Some of notable projects performed by Loukas Engineering include:
- Cleveland, Ohio: Turning movement count at Huron St. and Ontario Rd. next to Quicken Loans Arena
- Belmont County, Ohio: 16 hour turning movement counts on a Friday and Saturday
- Akron-Canton Airport: 24 hour vehicular turning movement counts on the terminal road performed simultaneously and 24 hour pedestrian counts in the crosswalks at the terminal also performed simultaneously
- Oakmont, PA: Turning movement count less than 1 mile from Oakmont Country Club, regular host of the U.S. Open.
